Q: Does the car repair have to be so expensive?
A: No, it doesn't. Unfortunately most
shops will try to get as much money out of customer as they can. Most shops including dealerships create
huge overhead expenses for themselfs, cost of car service to the customer is directly related to it. Small independent shop
owner has the advantage of control over that expense, if managing wisely he/she can pass the savings onto the customer.
Q: Does maintenance really prevent cars from breaking down?
A: Yes . Preventive maintenance
such us: oil change, transmission service, chassis lubrication can and will prolong repair intervals. Mileage based service
such us: timing belt replacement, tune-up, etc, is designed to prevent possible damage to more expensive to fix components
related to them.
Q: Do I have to take my car to the dealer?
A: During warranty period it is wise to do so
simply because it doesn't cost anything. But if the part or service You are in need for is no longer under warranty You
have a right to refuse it and use independent shop.
Q: Why is service
on import cars more expensive than domestic?
A: It really doesn't have to be. Most import cars are
backed by aftermarket parts and service costs are comparable to domestic cars.
Q:
How are you different than other shops?
A: We are a small independent shop. We try to keep our overhead
expenses to minimum to provide reasonable pricing. You won't find high speed internet or cable TV here, we are not walking
around in fancy uniforms and we are cleaning our own bathrooms. Our goal is to provide highest quality of service using high
quality parts and still keep it on reasonable level of pricing.
